The brewing war over broadband: "A legal decision striking down a key definition of cable broadband as an information service could signal tougher regulation for the high-speed Internet access industry. "

Moron politicians want to hobble the cable industry by removing their incentive to build out networks. This is similar to the negative policies put in place in 1996, which hurt the proliferation of DSL. Cable networks are privately funded. Why in the world should Cable providers be required to lease their lines to third parties? Especially after forking over their own billions over the last several years?
