Broadband Acceptance
A popular radio techno-geek whom I will not name proclaimed recently, that although DSL and cable modem connections are available to his home, he is unwilling to shell out 40 clams a month for broadband. How can any self-proclaimed PC enthusiast maintain any credibility if they do not have broadband to their home (if available)? Broadband availability weighs heavily on where I choose to live. Obviously this guy does not value his own time or he spends very little time online at home.
Sadly, this gentleman's opinion does little to help the proliferation of broadband. Of all of the folks I have convinced to make the modest investment in broadband, some of whom did so reluctantly, not one of them regretted the decision after experiencing it for only a short time.
