DISNEY'S DVD PROPOSAL ANGERS THEATER OWNERS.

Disney is considering simultaneous release of movies in theaters and DVD. Maybe the theater industry has something to learn from Disney about satisfying the desires of consumers. Apparently Disney has been listening.

Movie goers unanimously despise being force-fed 20 minutes of commercial advertising prior to the feature. Additionally, it has become so expensive to go to the movies that a lot of avid movie goers avoid the theaters altogether.

Add to that, screaming babies, punk-assed teenagers, laser pointers, cell phones, babbling idiots, sticky seats, poor AV technology....the list goes on an on. There are many reasons to avoid the theaters.

I predict movie theaters will go the way of the long-lost drive-in.
