I just hate any home electronic device with a clock that doesn't have a cheap capacitor to retain the time if power is interrupted for a few seconds. Microwaves, stoves, VCR's, digital thermostats, clock radios and TV's are some of the appliances in my home that share this limitation. Worst still, I have a TV/VCR combo that has a flashing LED to inform you that the clock needs to be set. Needless to say, it flashes constantly. I'm going to clip one of the LED's leads....hmmmm..or better yet, take a drill to it.
