I myself am wondering how this may one day revolutionize communications. Imagine creating a pair of entangled atoms. Change the state of one, and the other assumes that state instantly, regardless of its location. Imagine how this concept could be use to instantly transfer data from one location to another. Could this be applicable to space exploration? It seems to me to hold great potential for the ultimate in wireless communication.
